So SuperWoman turned three on the tenth of October 2015. Yes I know what you’re thinking, why am I posting it now? where was I? Well shabi you guys heard Linda Ikeji, she said blogging gives her sleepless nights so just imagine little me. Running a blog and Magazine at the same time, it’s not easy oh, its alot of hard work. okay, okay I’m sorry for the negligence though I didn’t totally neglect all of you, I ask our fans and friends what they had to say about our Organization and even asked them to ask any question they wanted us to answer; this is what they had to say.
“It’s certainly a seed that if nurtured properly will grow into a mighty harvest”

“Ever since I’ve known SuperWoman, I get news and info that I don’t get anywhere”
“I don’t know what to say, SuperWoman is exceptional. Nothing like other Nigerian Blogs. As a person there are times when you want to read news and gossip and there are times when you want to read something deeper and that’s what SuperWoman does, she provides you with very deep, heartwarming content”
“I don’t know what to say. I’m proud of you and I know you will only go from grace to more grace”
“Aaaah SuperWoman, no day passes without me checking to see what new updates they have. Very rich content, you must learn something with each article. I have learned a lot from them”
“When you read SuperWoman, it’s like a one on one conversation and that’s what I really love”
“ SuperWoman has a way of standing out. You can read news on other blogs but when you read that same news on SuperWoman, you must find something deferent. More information than what others said. Serena is a hardworking Girl, very hardworking indeed.”
At a time when I needed mental escape, the chance you gave me to write a column made a huge difference on my mindset. I’m happy to be part of the SuperWoman movement.
“What was your inspiration?”
“I get inspired by different things really, the desire to stand out, my motivation from women who have impacted our world, my love for independent women and desire that young girls should dream of growing up to be like that. My love for passing on useful knowledge, my love for writing in a way that communicates on a personal basis, my love for pageantry especially being an Ex beauty queen, but most importantly, my greatest inspiration comes from feedback. The feedback I receive from my followers, newcomers, readers and once in a while visitors. Every time I receive a mail saying “Hi Serena please could you…….”, Every time I get a comment saying “this is my first time on this site and I……..” I get inspired. I know your question reads “what WAS your inspiration” but the things I get inspired daily.
Simi Girly asked
“Is superwoman a feminist movement?”
“Well dear, it depends on what your definition of feminist is. Feminist means different things to different people. Some people think they are women who don’t want to marry or who don’t want to bear their husbands last name, or any woman who hates men, or constantly picks up a fight with men. People have different views of feminism and it is only until I know what your view is that I can truly answer this question. SuperWoman is an Organization that aims at empowering women. We are not at war with anybody nonetheless we will not support the oppression of a woman because of her gender. A woman is an individual and must be given the respect she deserves. The body is just a vessel we are all wearing; who we are is the soul. When the vessel is taken away there is no gender differentiation so why should anyone be oppressed because of the cloth they are putting on. Some months ago I received a mail from a Girl called Arit in Calabar who graduated with the first position from a pastoral school but was given the second position because her senior pastor said a woman cannot head a man. These are the kind of thing people label you feminist for when you react. Thank God we don’t care about such labels.
I am so grateful to all of you for sticking with me all these years. Some of you have stuck with me since the days of “D SuperWoman’s Blog” eg Clara. Some of you give us some serious twitter hype eg Slim Shaddy. For others it is facebook, liking and sharing our posts e.g Dr Maduagwu. I appreciate Tobe for taking out time to write wonderful articles for us; my friend Ebi for always cheering me on. I am grateful to Kenny who is always there to fix one plugin or the other hehehehe and Cicero our hidden SuperWoman Admin member hehe. Mimi, Gezet Chic and Amaka if I don’t see your comments on a post then my day is not complete but you guys never disappoint me and Simi when I don’t get your mail in my inbox i would begin to get worried. You guys are the reason why SuperWoman is what she is. Thank you so much, On our way to Banana Island lollllzzzzzz
